Experience Chiapas  through service and travel

Help an indigenous Mayan community and have the adventure of a lifetime!

Once a year we go to Chiapas and visit the community we serve. Our volunteers help us build a program based on community needs or volunteer with our dental or optometry clinics and/or collect stories for fundraising. Volunteers get to understand Mayan culture firsthand in the village where we learn about coffee and corn production, embroidery, artisan handicrafts, cooking classes and just hanging with the locals in the Chiapanecan jungle. We get to visit the Mayan Ruins of Palenque, stunning waterfalls such as Misol Ha and Agua Azul, and visit the colonial city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. It is a unique experience in partaking in both adventure and service in a Mayan community. The best part is always the people; our volunteers and host families make this the experience of a lifetime.
